St. Peter Saint pitcher Matt Lewis and Belle Plaine Tiger pitcher Ryan Diers locked horns in a 1-0 pitching duel that went to the Saints Sunday night. Jordan scored four runs in the 3rd inning and six in the 6th keyed by a three-run homerun by 52 year old designated hitter Paul Buss. With the two wins, St. Peter and Jordan have officially received their invites to the 2014 State Amateur Baseball Tournament. Four teams will vie for the remaining spot. Chanhassen plays Henderson (IN LE SUEUR) and Gaylord heads to Belle Plaine on Wednesday night to start a four team single elimination format in which the team that wins two consecutive games will receive the final RVL ticket.
